Portrait Photography

People Photography is very rewarding for me.  I enjoy capturing the personality and the beauty in all people.  Everyone has something to say.  A fine portrait is worth more than a thousand words!

Most artisits would agree that the definition of a portrait is an image that reflects the personality or tells a story about the subject.  Some of the best portraits I've seen were snap shots.  Snap shot photography is a portrait of the moment.
 

Photographers often strive to capture a moment, a slice of time.  It was the moment that made the shot, not the light, the focus or the film.  Think about that beautiful stream in the hills where you used to go fishing or picnicking.  Remember the snap shot you took?  Nothing great, accept that the tree that gave you shade has been replaced by a concrete overpass.
